President Duterte’s Granddaughter, Isabelle Duterte, Was Offended by Sir Jack’s Maute Hostage Beheading Parody Video!

The Maute terrorist group is still currently sowing chaos in Marawi City, Mindanao. Despite the valiant effort from our soldiers and police force, members of the group still refuse to give up without a fight. Despite the serious nature of the war in Marawi, the ongoing conflict has bred numerous parodies online. However, some people seem to misunderstand the message behind these jokes. One of them is President Duterte‘s granddaughter, Isabelle Duterte.

The presidential kin recently saw a Facebook post from popular internet personality/comedian, Sir Jack. The comedian apparently made a video parodying a Maute hostage’s beheading. In the footage, Sir Jack acted as the hostage and his friends portrayed ‘Mauten’ members (parody of Maute Terrorist Group). The two villains then asked for a ransom worth P1,000 in exchange for Sir Jack’s life.

The internet celebrity also begged President Duterte to agree to the demands of the terrorists or else he will be beheaded. By the end of the video, his friends brushed his teeth, causing him to be suffocated.

A lot of netizens found the post funny, probably because they wanted to relieve themselves of the stress of the war in Mindanao. As expected, a few people were offended by the video and asked the comedian to take it down.

Isabelle Duterte then commented on Sir Jack’s post, saying it was disrespectful to the people of Marawi. Sir Jack then asked her to unfollow him, to which she replied that she wasn’t even following him in the first place.

They posted:

A lot of netizens saw how Isabelle Duterte responded and told her off for being a hypocrite for asking the comedian to take down his video.

On the other hand, a number of people agreed with Isabelle and also requested Sir Jack to delete his post so as not to hurt the feelings of residents of Marawi City.

Towards the end of the argument, Sir Jack refused to take down the post and instead requested those who were complaining about it to simply unfollow him or block him so that they won’t see him on their feeds again.
