This Man Planted 6, 000 Trees To Honor The Death Of His Wife – After 17 Years, His Deepest Secret Was Discovered In The Forest!
Janet and Winston Howe got married in 1962. They were known in their neighborhood as a happy couple who honored and loved each other unconditionally. Their marriage remained happy and their relationship stayed strong over the years of being together.
However, the couple found out that nothing lasts forever when Janet died of heart attack. Her death in 1995 ended their 33 years of marriage, but it did not end Winston’s love for her.
To pay tribute to his beloved wife, Winston planted six thousand oak trees on a farm located in Southwest England. He kept it a secret when he planted the trees and it was only discovered 17 years later.
Andy Collett was floating in the sky in his hot air balloon one day in 2012. Upon reaching a forest in Southwest England, he was surprised when he looked down at it. He saw a heart- shaped meadow from the sky.
The heart- shaped grassland was surrounded by oak trees. These are the same oak trees that Winston Howe planted 17 years ago. Therefore, the heart- shaped field is his unique declaration of love for Janet.
“You can just imagine the love story. I have my own balloon and am quite a regular flyer, but this was the most amazing sight I have ever seen from the sky,” Andy said in an interview with Daily Mail.
According to Winston, the bottom of the heart points out to the farm where Janet grew up.
“It is a lovely and lasting tribute to her which will be here for years,” Winstons told Daily Mail. He would sometimes go in the middle of the heart to reminisce and honor the memories with Janet.
Winston’s love for Janet is truly unconditional and inspiring!
