Teacher Who Was Hospitalized for a Broken Forearm Received a Note From Her Doctor That Touched Her Heart!
Teacher Virgina Padilla Roble didn’t expect that she would receive an unusual prescription note from a doctor. The teacher was rushed to the hospital because she accidentally broke her forearm.
Rachfeed reported that Roble was confined to the Perpetual Succour Hospital in Cebu City. The source was unable to cite how the accident happened. However, she was attended to by a “good surgeon” who was apparently her former student.
She was taken under the care of Dr. Dilbert Monicit. When Roble was finally treated and discharged from the hospital, she received a note that was written in a doctor’s prescription pad.
Its contents surprised her – rather than prescribing her the medication she would have to take, the note featured a breakdown of the doctor’s professional fee (PF), along with a phrase that said that the full amount was “paid 22 years ago.”
Roble shared the picture above with the caption: “Just checked out of Perpetual Succour Hospital.I got this note from the nurses’ station. Thank you for the early Christmas gift, Dr. Dilbert Monicit. Thank you for being there.”
Dr. Monicit said that Roble was one of his favorite teachers back when he was just a student. The “payment” that Roble gave 22 years ago was apparently for being a good teacher.
It was evident that Roble significantly touched the doctor’s heart, to the point that chose not to charge her for his services.
This is not the first time that a teacher has touched a student’s heart. If you look it up on Google, lots of inspiring stories featuring former students gave back to their teachers will flood your browser.
The profession of teaching is no joke and what Roble experienced is an indicator that she really was a strong and positive influence on her students.
